I feel bad for Jon and Kate. Life in the spot light and celebrity fame is a very destructive power. However, regardless of their past, as Christians they have a responsibility. The covenant of marriage is a covenant with God and they should be encouraged by the church to work through this. As celebrities they also have the ability to impact this nation and the people in it. What a witness to the strength of God and Christians to have Jon and Kate reconcile in front of a nation of viewers that are so closely watching and waiting to see what they do. How many marriages may be saved, how many lives touched, how many brought to Christ by such an event. Above all else their lives and the lives of their children will be greatly blessed as a result. You can tell these 2 love each other and their kids. It is unfortunate that, in the humble opinion of this blogger, the fame and media pressure are hindering any efforts in the direction of reconciliation. I will continue my prayers for Jon and Kate, for their kids, and for Willow Creek Church.
