Carpentersville - Blitz Build Project - Day 3

Wow!! It is happening again, people from all over our neighborhood have been converging in Carpenterville to be the hands and feet of Christ by building a home during Willow Creek's Blitz Build week.

This week Willow has 7 projects in 7 days with over 1700 volunteers! Check out our progress in just 2 days!





Today's devotional was from Matt. 5:6 - "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they will be filled."

The prayer team prayed for the volunteers and the requests they had, the hospitality team help feed the hungery and thirsty crew. They have a big appetite for lunch but it is nothing compared to their hunger and thirst for what is right and good! Today they lived out righteousness and we were filled.

Dundee Crown Area - Baptism Weekend

A big Congratulations to area Creekers who have faith and guts to stand for their faith in the sacrament of Baptism! Lots and lots of people were prompted to take this step last weekend, I think it is over 700!

Area Baby Dedication - Abraham Quinn

Congratulations to John & Molly Quinn on the dedication of Abraham. It was another awesome dedication for this great family. This was their second dedication in the last two years. We had some special moments remembering God's blessings to them, praying together and then we had some great food and even some entertainment as Molly led the annual "Quinn Family Dance Party!!"

Carpentersville - Lakewood Garage Sale for FMSC

The Lakewood community is having a neighborhood garage sale this Saturday, June 21. Inspired by our Dundee Crown Area "Feed My Starving Children" event in May they have decided to donate all proceeds to FMSC! Way to Go!

The sale will be at 1013 Rosewood Dr, Carpentersville (near Rt.25 and Maple Str. just west of 25).

Soulforce Visits Willow Creek

Many of you have emailed about a group called Soulforce that visited Willow Creek last weekend June 7.

Soulforce's purpose is:
"Freedom for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people from religious and political oppression through the practice of relentless nonviolent resistance."
